The Better Late Then Never Episode - Season 2, Episode 020

Apologies but this episode was recorded almost 3 weeks ago but because of a busy schedule, the economy and many factors both home and abroad....... oh, who are we kidding, we've just been lazy as of late. It's been so long we don't even remember what this ones about (except that Jamie is on as a guest and is brutal), if you don't listen we wouldn't be surprised. We have one more episode coming up to wrap up the season and then we're done until free agency time.

Leafs Season Week 21 in Review - Season 2, Episode 019

Dave and Chris start the episode off by discussing the latest coach firing in Guy Carbonneau. Bob Gainey takes over as the first non french Canadian head coach in a long time (except when he was interim coach before Guy). Al MacNeil, in 1971 to be exact. We also discuss the retirement of Gary Roberts. We ask the question could Steve Mason win the Calder the Vezina and the Hart trophy in the same year? Half way through the show Brian stumbles in late and rather rough shod. We the quickly talk about the Leaf games of the week. Then it's the main event. Berger Vs. Wilson. We play the clips of their argument and give our opinions on all things said. Finally we finish the show with a bang when we call Wayne spells his best Wayne's Word yet! Enjoy the show and see you next week!

Trade Deadline Review - Season 2, Episode 018

After trade deadline Leafs fans are left with one question, Why? Why pick up Gerber? Why only 2 players moved out? Why only a second round pick for Antropov? Why wait until now to give Toskala surgery? Finally, why do the Leafs keep winning? The guys discuss and fight over these and many other questions this week. We give our varied opinions on the trade deadline and talk about who came out the best in the end. For some reason we get side tracked and begin talking about the lady who had her face and arms ripped off by a pet gorilla and the woman who called the police while waiting for her drive-thru order. Also talked about is Coach's corner rant about Ovenchin and the return of Mats. We also briefly discuss the return of Avery and more importantly the not so triumphant return of Wayne and his misspelled word. Enjoy the show and have a listen next week, as the Leafs season soon comes to another tragic end.

Hockey Day in Canada Special! - Season 2, Episode 017

Welcome to the Hockey Day in Canada Special! This week it's just the 3 guys talking hockey from the brand new podcast studio. To be more accurate the unfinished podcast studio with no heat, chairs, flooring, washroom, running water or table. We talk about the first 2 trades to start off the season as well as Mike Green's record making streak. We also discuss the mob affiliations with the Montreal Canadians, will one of the Habs turn up at the bottom of the St. Lawrence with cement shoes? The passion for ex-captain Mats is evident when the guys talk heatedly about his controversial last year with the Buds. It's too bad we all agreed and there was no one like Dan the Man to argue our points. Sad to say we go 2 weeks in a row without Wayne's word. So what was so special about this Hockey Day in Canada show? Nothing, absolutely nothing.

Leafs Season Week 17 in Review - Season 2, Episode 016

For some reason Brian decides to start the show by discussing a plane crash, things get stupid, people get insensitive and we end up talking about which way you'd rather die, in the plane or in the house the plane crashes into.....anyhoo. Dan decides to join us after a long hiatus and has little to say, but oh boy, what he says is insightful. We talk about the Leafs still needing to lose even more so we can get the best pick possible. These show notes are starting to sound exactly like they did this time last year. Lose! Lose! Lose! We also discuss the eminent return of Avery and the unusual way Burke and Wilson are handling players, including Pogge who may be losing confidence every start he makes. Our effort to get a hold of Wayne for Wayne's Word fails so this show we regret to inform you that there is no Wayne's Word. Booooooo!

Leafs Season Week 16 in Review - Season 2, Episode 015

Dave's very late and Brian and Chris wait in the driveway for 30 minutes, so this weeks show is a short episode. Wayne doesn't show up because of a debilitating bout with the hiccups. There wasn't much to talk about in the NHL anyways so we kick the show off talking about the firing of Craig Hartsburg. As bad as things are in Leafs Nation, Sens fans are feeling the brunt of a horrible team that hopefully doesn't beat us to the bottom of the NHL. We also discuss the Leafs games versus the Pens, Panthers and Sabres. This sounds like something we said last year, but the Leafs aren't losing enough games for that high draft pick. We finally get Wayne on the phone and try to trick him with a strange Wayne's word submission. However it doesn't work so we give him his real word, Getzlaf, and he thankfully murders the spelling of it.

All Star Week in Review - Season 2, Episode 014

This week on the show the boys discuss Zetterburgs brand spanking new 73 million dollar contract and mildly debate about who is a better player, him or Rick Nash. We also have Russel from Sens Underground join us to give us the skinny on the diarrhea mouth Melnyk. Russel challenges the Leafs to a race to the bottom of the NHL. We accepted! We also reminisce about Dougie Gilmour and the good ol' days back in 93'. Later on we talk about Pogge and the Leafs avalanche lose to the Wild and wild win over the Avalanche. Then we get in a big to-do over the NHL All Star game and the very gay and very embarrassing pre-game shows. The NHL needs to cultivate a better image then cirque du soliel garbage. Chris gives some ideas for changing the game and making it better. The big finale comes with Wayner attempting his word of the week, which I am not about to attempt myself. Cheerio and have a listen next week!
